I purchased a 5000 CPU loaded with Windows ME. The software worked for approximately 30 hours. I called technical support and was assured I would received replacement software. Never happened! I’ve called every week and have to reexplain the problem. This has gone for two months. Compaq will not allow me to take it to an authorized service center because it’s a software problems.

My Compaq was purchased and is now sitting on the closet floor. I have since purchased another computer brand. Compaq warranty isn’t worth anything. Their slogan, “Compaq goes the distance to care for our customers with Extra Mile Service”, is an absolute joke.

I want my money back!!!!!
